If you don't see that #1, just to start with, is true, then we have nothing to discuss. Saddam was funding terrorists organizations. Terrorist organizations have sent out people to kill as many thousands as possible, via airplanes, trains, and all the other ways we read about on a daily basis. Saddam was funding suicide bombers. Saddam was killing his own people. Saddam used WMD on his own people and killed thousands then. He is on trial for that now. Is a vital national security interest threatened?
