The Arabs and the Israelis don't have the same goals. The Israelis want to survive next to the Arabs. The Arabs want to kill the Israelis.

We have more often intervened to save the Arabs from Israeli retaliation for their attacks than the other way around. Perhaps we should have let them duke it out. But the Israeli Arab conflict always functions as a proxy. Used to be for the US/USSR; now it is for the US/Iran. So the US can't do what you ask without gravely harming itself. You can never seem to understand that.

Chrissy, what problems of the Arab world would be solved if Israel fell into the sea tomorrow? Look at the opportunities young people have in America, Europe, India, China, SE Asia - and now compare that to the situation in Cairo and Damascus.

You have your attention fixated on one huge red herring.
