As I recall, rrufff, about half the 2004 election was focused on Kerry's war record. The Pentagon awarded him some medals for his service in Nam, but Rove and the RNC funded an attack campaign that had nothing to do do with the issues, but which became the major topic of the campaign. You and shorty were going on about that just a few days ago right here on this thread, as if it had any bearing on anything. Also, if Kerry was running as an alternative to Bush, that's was his role as someone running against an incumbent. They Kerry campaign did not focus on the blatantly pathetic military record of almost every single principle in the entire Bush administration.

Exactly Ruff... Some do not understand also that some like myself will poll Bush unfavorable in his job performance (But for different reasons than the left) But would still vote for him again given the choices that were available...
What we need is a good quality candidate but who in their right mind would want the job....
