In case you didn't know, those were movies. Gee whiz.. you're such a bright boy Jtmab.. Quite the knack for the obvious you have there.. And boy o' boy, I guess the people who made those movies never reflected upon the beliefs and perspectives of their presumed audience, right? No.. they just invest a bundle of money into making a movie that no one will ever watch because they can't relate to it... Yeah.. just movies.. Hawk

P.S. Father Knows Best wasn't a documentary on Americana. Not to ummmm burst your bubble, but for a lot of people "Father knows best" was a lot like how we lived.... We lived in similar houses in streets laid out in straight lines. Kids ran for home when the street lights came on, lots of times home was 300 or 400 feet away.... And I can remember when All in the Family came on and we talked about who we knew who was most like Archie Bunker... People really were mirrored in some of those families
