Not in every case. But in those cases where there is a big change over a short period of time, it correlates pretty well.

Ok, then where has the CO2 come from? "God works in mysterious ways" doesn't cut it. This isn't the 16th century when we didn't have a great deal of understanding about how the universe operates.

Case in point. Fleischman and Pons released their results and it was quickly proved that their experiments were flawed. Global warming and anthropogenic CO2 as a contributing factor, if not the factor, has also been throughly vetted by scientists in the field and it has stood up well. Not universally, but there are those who still hold out for Steady State, but the vast majority accept it.
