tonight Eric Schmidt has joined Apple BOD. I heard a rumor about 3 mos ago that the next ipod will support ebooks in some way. There are so many millions of rumors, and people in the blogosphere whose entire reason for being is to create rumors, that I don't pay much attention. Even so... hmmm. And before anybody posts that ebooks aren't any good, the only books that don't lend themselves to the online format are novels. Lots of other books, including most reference materials, and utility books such as cookbooks or technical journals, are enhanced with a more powerful search feature.
