If you think about my reply for a minute you will see it as an example of exactly what you said. Cuba was an example of the reaction by the US to a communist takeover. And it is still not pretty

I'm not talking about Cuba. Let it be French Communists. Any Communists. Our reaction towards ALL Communists if ANY Communists tried to annex one of our state's to make a Communist heaven would be a good deal more vigorous and complete than the Arab reaction against Zionism. Do you agree or disagree? A "closer to reality" analogy would be if the Mormons tried to secede and make Utah a new MormonCountry. We wouldn't say "Adios, lets get a free trade treaty going!", we'd send in the national guard, army, Dick Cheney w/rifle, Hawkmoon and a few b-52 bombers.
