Iran spending $6billion while Saudi Arabia spends 25.2 billion, only serves to show that military spending levels are an imperfect proxy for military power.

So. . . . Tim, I gather you have some other evidence that suggests the military capabilities of the Saudis are not four times the level of the Iranians. My impression is that the Saudis have a highly technically capable military, at least for the ME; the Iranians have bodies.
