If a foreign power were in our country occupying and taking our land and killing your family and our people, and they told you "all you have to do is stop firing back and then we'll negotiate of how much of your land we'll keep", would you do it? Can you imagine if we had stopped firing at the British were this country of ours now be?

Abbas today echoed the hamas leaders call for an end to rocket attacks on israel. Yesterday 9 gazans were killed trying to tunnel into israel to blow up a crossing. Abbas says the israelis use excessive force and practice collective guilt but the pals are the provacateurs with their ineffective rocket attacks. My add--same with hizbolla in lebanon back in July. With hamas and the PA saying this and with hizbolla still reeling from the israeli assault and facing some criticism from lebanese who can see the truth, there may be some hope. Bilow said i think that another war was inevitable. May be so but if folks with brains can stop the pal attacks while israel doesnt feel a need to have a more clear victory against hiz to deter future attackers, maybe something positive can happen at this stage.
