The point goes further, would we want to elect someone that would use a racial slur at a public gathering? While giving a speech about his candidacy? Welcome to America? Welcome to the real world of Virginia, Macaca? The man was of Indian decent and an born in America.

I think this display of arrogance, hate and racism took the white sheet off Allen so we could all look into his heart.

It's not just the word macaca. It's the way that it was used and the context that it was used in. I saw the video and it was very disturbing that a senator could behave in this manner.

His arrogance and insensitivity are underlined here.

I'd say, voters of Virginia...turn your back on this POS.

George Allen has a long history of racism, and he thought the "macaca" comment played well to his base. But the demographics of Virginia have been changing. More and more democrats, progressives and mutli-ethnic types have moved into the state. Now George Allen, one of the most powerful Bush yes-men is in trouble. It looks like he's going to lose, partly because he's a bully and racist, partly because Webb his opponent is a real war hero and was Reagan's Navy Secretary so Allen can't use the typical Bush "weak on defense" BS against him.

All this is causing a panic in the GOP because they thought Allen's was a safe seat. If they lose that, Dems may take back the senate as well as congress. Might happen.

Kean's NJ Lead Vanishes In One Week. Voters Moving In Democrats Direction. realclearpolitics.com

Look at these numbers. In PA for instance, the Dem is ahead by 27%. All the Uncle Tom GOP black candidates are being trounced in the polls by double digits. Boy has that trick backfired. The Bush GOP thinks they can steal elections by disenfranchising blacks then turn around and run a black sell-out type and win? Ain't gonna happen.

As for Kean, his accusations of corruption turned out to be bogus as the NY Times stated.
