Hello Pezz, Last Night's Report:

Converted JYen to Euro, in response to the reactivation of the Yen carry trade by the boyz. They are insane, but I am not one to stand in front of them.

OTOH, it is good that the Japanese have collectively decided to bleed themselves once more for the betterment of others. We must not let them down :0)

As to <<about that timing.....>>

Yes, 13% gain in just so many hours finance.yahoo.com ...

Message 22763779 renews my faith that there is soemone up there looking out for me :0)

<<...You still gonna wait for 23?>>

... that target is no big deal, for it just represents a return of the beast to its November 2005 ask, which was too high in all cases.

So, for sure waiting for 23, in my longterm sell and stay short (LSSS) program on USA lifestyle.

Other folks have jumped on the Japan carry trade again, which I think is either (i) dangerous, if it does not work out, and/or (ii) good news for gold, if they get away with it.

In response, I did this Message 22763828 , and at least so far, the timing is also pretty good, or good enough.

I simply decided to get into a USA carry trade, whereby one sells USA and do nothing else, or buy gold, until something, anything, happens that remotely resemble sanity at work.

BTW, panic is sane and fear is rational.

I am also shopping for lenders to enhance my LSSS program.

I am figuring on GUDDEED (gold up, dollar down, everything else down), but am cognizant of the possibilities for GDDDEED.

I am not fearful of oil going to 100, and in fact welcomes oil going to 200.

On fiat currency disposition, I continue to favor CAD over all others, because should USA decides to save itself and fight inflation, Canada will fight right along side; and should USA choose to destroy USD, Canada is not populated enough (relative to its goodies) to pulverize its CAD.

Hello Pezz, Tonight's Report:

Just got slightly more neutral in the conflict between inflation and deflation, and short sold a tranche of Coach finance.yahoo.com at USD 30.78/share, since I cannot imagine that a puffed up retailer of anything that can be cheaply produced maintaining an 11 billion market cap in the environment that will soon enough turn into a killing space.

The proceeds will stay in USD cash, for a while, to keep me warm, and eventually, at psychological moments, progressively, allocated to gold, to keep me cool.

I hope to short one company per week from this point forward, popping them like multi-vitamins; I suspect the USA carry trade will prove to be very inexpensive way to financing.

Hello Pezz, Today's Report:

Got out of bed at 6:00am, as usual, stretched, jogged, and swam, as always, and bought some paper gold @ HKD 5,860 per tael, as I sometimes do.

I added gold because it would appear that the empire does not have the wherewithal to pacify Iran and N.Korea, and so must spend even more paper money to keep events under management in a holding pattern. Well, this is the LTBH reason.

The immediate reason is that vacation trip is coming up at the end of the month, and I do not like to be out of paper gold when I am away from the battle station.

I am also watching your mid-term elections with interest. It seems that the electorates are upset at what has happened to their positioning in domestic economic as well as geopolitical affairs, and at the same time are suspicious of the entire election system, as they well should.

Maybe they are just p*ssed off about the treatment they get while getting on airplanes for the past 5 years and the next 50 years.

I wonder if the 'Nazi appeasers', as termed by Rummy, will be able to make a difference to policies. I doubt it, but leave mind open on the possibilities.

I suspect the opposition will capture the House, and gum up the machinery, which will of course cost more money and result in less than good (as opposed to costing more money and resulting in no good), making necessary more borrowing.

I am still fearful of deflation, as in triple-waterfall depreciation of asset prices, but I believe Ben BurnBurpAndKaput when he explained why deflation will not happen. It is not that I believe deflation will not happen. It is only that I believe Ben BurnBurpAndKaput meant what he promised, about the printing press and the helicopters.

Morons rule! Electorates asked for it. Hooray.
