But all those who have opined on this affair ought to take note of the not-so-surprising disclosure that the primary source of the newspaper column in which Ms. Plame's cover as an agent was purportedly blown in 2003 was former deputy secretary of state Richard L. Armitage.

How could a depty secretary of state not know that disclosing Ms. Phlame's cover was goving out classified info? I know that many of Bush appointees are incompetent....but really!

And whether the disclosure was by Bush or a disgruntled appointee the fact still remains her career as a CIA operative was pretty much done due to that disclosure.
