America’s political left likes to point out that their own dissent over the war on terror is both highly patriotic and a sign of the strength of our culture. What then to make of the true strength of a party that has become so intolerant of dissent from within that they now sometimes turn on allies as reliable as members of the Congressional Black Caucus?

What a perceptive article, and what a shame that most liberals will likely not read it or pay it any mind.

As is made clear in the preposterous article likening left-wing dissenters to Churchill (the ultimate Tory), the left is now embracing "dissent" as the core value in and of itself. It makes no difference what the issue is -- if it is supported by the current administration, the only acceptable position for the loyal left is "dissent."

No wonder that the thoughtful Joe Lieberman has been drummed out of the Democratic party for refusing to be a mindless obstructionist all day, every day.

I thought that AMERICAN THINKER sounded like a fairly sound site..... thinking Americans but when I researched it I found that it might be biased in what it lays out there to read as it is more like the Heritage Foundation etc.

It's the same as when the articles from left wing publications are posted.. To try to find the actual truth of anything is extremely difficult for whatever one reads is so baised....from right or left.

You could take so many of those sentences and merely change 'hard left' to 'hard right' and it would read equally true. This is just another sample of the polarization destroying both parties, and in the process, our ability to accomplish anything. It's the flip side of the left saying the admin demands lockstep with their thinking.

What was her reference to "antiSemitism" by the left? I haven't run into that anywhere. And what does that long thing about hiphop have to do with anything?
I have to admit I found that whole article so scattershot that I have no idea what her point was; she was obviously writing to those already in ideological agreement with her, but then that is true of the American Thinker overall.
