The Bush administration only goes to the UN when their strong arm policies completely fail.

That's BS.

The reason that we've still got the NK problem is because of Clintons ineffective diplomacy. All he did was put a patch on it which promptly gave out.

Since Bush came in they've AT LEAST quadrupled their nukes and test fire missiles at will while laughing at Bush's impotence.

It wouldn't matter who was head of the US, NK would still increase their stock pile of nucs. There's only one country that can control NK and it just so happens that it's also one that would enjoy making Japan into a nuclear slag pile.

Describing working with the international community to create horror over a tyrannical dictatorship with a history of arming terrorists as "strong arm policies" does not reconcile well unless a hate President Bush filter is applied.
"I'd much rather have seen a replay of Clinton's performance in N. Korea..."

It looks like the Chinese and Russians are ensuring we get that regardless of American diplomatic efforts. The great thing is that we don't have to bribe Iran to blow us off like Clinton did; this will save us some major money.

"quadrupled their nukes "

That is what people who have the capacity to produce weapons do. At least NK has not started arming stateless terrorists yet (we hope). That is more than can be said of Iran.
