Hawk...BUSH is the guy that has shown "an abysmal ignorance of the history, politics, cultural realities". Korea and Vietnam have NOTHING to do with the quagmire of Iraq and comparisons are ludicrous.

I did not write the article -- but the person who did is an American who has been living in Vietnam for the past ten years and is probably not "ignorant" of the history of Vietnam as you suggest.

The only thing Bush et al have done about 911 is to use it as an excuse to deny civil liberties to Americans and give OBL what he wanted: get the US military out of Saudi Arabia.
