Hmm. Well, I suspect that Steve Irwin being done in by a stingray is definitely some kind of omen- but maybe not a warning of imminent deflationary collapse. All the same I'd make sure the emergency supplies were fresh, just in case.

The housing market over here is starting to look a bit shaky. I expect something that will feel a lot like deflation in California housing, for what that's worth.
