EC, I would say my best ability is to see, that everything in the universe is a matter of relativity and probability.

Tanslation: I'm confused, but I see this as positive.

Thus I end up where Sartre and Camus ended up. Life and everything in it is a big illusion.

Translation: I think life is meaningless and depressing, but brilliant people accept this as a fundamental truth, so I must be brilliant in coming to this conclusion. (See "begging the question" in a list of logical fallacies.)

Except I have more faith in the existance of compassionate sentient beings in outer space somewhere-lol. Camus, might have joined me there-lol. And compassion is the only thing I take seriously.

Translation: Aliens may get myself, and the rest of the world into a system more advantageous for my unique talents to prosper. (I am with you on this one. Here's to little green men ruling the planet and you and I being their head administrators. Damn the rebels. ) I feel sorry for the rest of the human race in not seeing that effort is slavery and wasted on the masses and their controlling minions. Tune in, turn, on drop out and bilk the slot machines. (hmmmm hard to argue that one..)

I believe the human species, by and large, lives in a fantasy world chasing its tail.

Translation: Most people I know are wasting their lives in a rat race, purporting to believe in iconic ideas and norms whilst never coming to terms with their own hypocrisy, all of this amply justifying my not trying too hard to achieve anything meaningful in life.

koan, if there are sentient beings in our cosmic neighbourhood, just hope they don't find us. The odds are that they'll find us delicious, and failing that they'll probably enslave us. Or if they are truly compassionate they'll see what we've been doing to the other species and punish us appropriately.

Illusion

<<an abnormal perception caused by a sensory misinterpretation of and actual stimulus, sometimes precipitated by strong emotion >>

How can "life" be an illusion if the very definition of word implies something that is abnormal?
Most people can not be in a state of illusion as it implies being against the majority. They can be screwed up but your inference is an oxymoron.
This gets into the notion of "subjective" Truth and "idealistic" Truth.

<<Without going out of my yard I can see all things on earth...the farther one travels, the less one knows>>

Gold stocks going up is not an illusion:)

or is it?
