I'd have to think if I would compare cell to power, but it could easily be a good comparison.

When I was in Newfoundland there were isolated cities with their own diesels. Totally off-grid, from a Utility stand point, but very much on their own grid. From hundreds to thousands of families on islanded diesels. Cool idea.

Can that be broken down to each home an island? On an economic scale? I dunno. The cost of a home generator is less thn some people annual utility bills. That would leave them a Natural Gas bill. So, they pay for gas to convert to hydrogen, or pay for electricity.

Still needs thinking on feasibility.
