Hi Jim,
I have worked in the Securities industry all my life in a variety of capacities. It is not a level playing field at all. Yes some folks are better at it than others but folks without a college education are the best victims for the predators out there. And that in no way means that a college degree is a guarantee of success either. I am for private accounts. I think what the investor should be looking at is money management and managers measured over time. You dont want folks in gold funds in a frenzy at peak valuations. Normal fiduciary rules should be in place. I bet if you check 401k performance, you would be shocked at how so many folks could have bought the junk they buy, even in fund groups. Mike
