NO is NOT the only disaster in US history. Remember the flooding along the Mississippi River? Northridge Earthquake? Loma Prieta Earthquake? Blizzards in the northern midwest? Frankly, the people victimized by these disasters expect the rest of the nation to step up to the plate and help out. And they have. Conversely, I think the rest of the nation is entitles to judge how well their money is used. Generally, it's been used pretty well and this is probably true of NO too. The press and TV do LOVE a story of screw up that sells papers and ads and they exaggerate the negative. THAT sells papers and ads.
