If you know anything about scaling you can verify the visible height. There was more visible height in the long shot than the in the close up. Comparing the two makes no sense at all.

It's not "fuzzed out", it's simply a longer focal length and you lose definition from that far away. They describe the method for scaling the building, you can check it for yourself.

Also in the close up, count the floors you can see and then time it. That whole video only lasts 5 seconds and part of that is with the building out of the frame. So we are still talking about free fall speeds.
