These teachers would of course be teaching girls. It appears to me that the whole raison d'etre of moslems in the East, both near and far, is to suppress women, to keep them uneducated, just keep them around to cook and clean and put out now and again.

Wherever there are people who feel disaffected, estranged or who feel being unduly discriminated against and/or exploited, there will be pent up anger and resentment which eventually find expression in violence and/or armed rebellion, sooner or later. Southern Thailand is a place where there are lots of Muslims living in the midst of other Thais who are Buddhists. To the extremist Muslims there, the proliferation of bars and "f"-shops for the indulgence of westerners is utterly offensive, and so they would shoot and bomb the "procurers". Not surprising! But the media never fails to sensationalise and propagandise on such incidents. A time was when Malaysia was infested with Communist terrorists. Malaysia succeeded in neutralising the Communist menace by addressing the claims of the Communists and delegitimizing them. That was the formula advocated by the British colnial masters and implemented by the Malaysians. It is ironic that the same formula is not being applied in Afghanistan and the Middle East today. To be sure, the western powers are hell-bent on conquest of the Muslims' oil-rich countries and achieving absolute hegemony over the rest of the world. What they really fear is that if they do not have control over the Muslims' oil-rich countries, Russia and/or China could, much to the detriment of the west! When viewed in this light, the war on terror is quite a red-herring. Verily, there's more than meets the eye. .
