Compare oranges with oranges and apples with apples! Yes, it was true that in 1998, there were all those heinous crimes being committed in Indonesia. Indonesia is Indonesia, and Malaysia is not Indonesia. Do not be confused! Malaysia is an independent sovereign state. And I was not definitive in saying that there were no problems in Malaysia. I said "as far as I am aware" there were no extremist Muslim action in Malaysia. It seems you need glasses badly! Mind you I was referring to Malaysia in 2006 when Mahathir had not been in power for several years. I have been in communication with friends and acquaintances and none of them have mentioned ethnic tension overboiling into violence. I do not deny there is no dissatisfaction among the Chinese and Indians with regard to their resentment of the Malays enjoying privileges that are denied to them. That had been the case ever since Malaysia achieved Independence in 1957. Except for a brief flareup in Kuala Lumpur way back in 1969, there has no outbreak of violence ever since then. Get your facts right. Sarcasm won't help you convince anyone. .
