Oh well, what can you do but sit back and build better bombs to take him out next time. Would love to see OBL taken down by a hellfire, or JDAMS someday, but this is an intelligence war, and principally Human and Signals intelligence driven, and THAT is what's going to provide the targeting information for all of that spiffy technology to be expended upon. Looks like the reporters found him before the cia could ever make contact. How was that possible?? Because the CIA wanted to kill/capture him, and the reporters just wanted to get the "scoop" of the century. I really think the whole tradition of terrorism in the ME demonstrates our need to wipe out the threat before it becomes a problem. Can't wipe it out. Will never happen. That's like stopping murder, or robberies, or shoplifting.. But.. we can create an opposite force, which was previously lacking. We must force the muslim world to have to face up to its vision for the future and make a choice.. Jihadist oppression and intolerance, or Modernization and tolerance. Muslims are allowed to enter into any contract that suits the overall interests of Islam, even if they have no intention of honoring the contract.
