Can't say that I disagree with much of anything in your post.

The only thing I might add is that I don't think that anything the USA did in the past should be considered a legitimate reason to become a terrorist. I know you aren't saying that, but others have. The USA is not perfect, but bombing the Cole, our embassy, military barracks, the Trade Center (twice), etc. is not a logical or moral reaction to our mistakes.
