Which a lot of people see as an evil, behind the scenes reason for our involvement in the middle east. I see it as an important issue for us to work on, even if it means a military presence of some sort. The entire world is better off with a stable supply of oil.

That's the preferred method of resolving this, I agree. How have the people of that region done so far in coming to these agreements? Not well.
