I have been looking at the ignore to bookmark ratio for some time. It's a nice diagnostic tool. It doesn't always mean someone is unpleasant when they have over 50 ignores, or more ignores than bookmarks, but it's often a clue :-)

People also peoplemark you if they want to be able to find what you see in searching with you. I am likely to peoplemark anyone I regularly debate against over a sustained period of time. It doesn't necessarily suggest endorsement of their posts.
