"they are expert marketers of bumper sticker politics." But that just sells to the uneducated and uninformed. If the Bush experience has taught us anything, it's that we need to work to make the bulk of Americans better informed, more critical, better educated, more skeptical and less likely to be jerked around by jingoistic, nationalistic emotional appeals by politicians. I'm sure some future Karl Rove is taking notes, and some future Bush awaits us if we don't.
