<Higher CAFE standards, punishing companies, and national health care would all have a very negative effect on the US economy>

How do you arrive at that conclusion? Are Canadian companies hurt by national health care? A US car includes 1,000 in health care costs. As for higher cafe standards, our stupid energy policies are a major drag on innovation in the US.

Liar. The US economy would go great with CAFE standards, breaking monopolies and price-fixers, punishing corporate crooks and tax cheats, having national health care, getting off polluting fuels and returning to balanced budgets. Every western country has these things except the US. That's because of the outrageous power of industrial lobbyists in DC especially since 2001. It's all about CORRUPTION on the right.

I was just in Canada. They are doing great. Their medical system is much better than ours. Any time you're sick you get taken care of, even if you are out of work. Pharmacuticals cost 1/3 what we pay. Everyone cares about their country and pitches in. It's very clean, green, well-organized, fair and tolerant. We should be more like Canada and less like Nazi Germany.
