Zix Gets Nasdaq Delisting Notice Due to Low Stock Price

DALLAS (AP) -- Zix Corp., a provider of secure e-mail software and online prescription technology, said Tuesday it received a delisting notice from Nasdaq because its stock price hasn't met or exceeded $1 for 30 consecutive business days.

Zix has until March 14, 2007, to regain compliance.

"The company has put plans in place and is executing aggressively against them to dramatically improve the fundamentals," said Rick Spurr, chairman and chief executive, in a statement.

The company's shares climbed a penny to 77 cents in morning trading on the Nasdaq.

Meanwhile, the message boards are split between whining about the CEO's $300K salary (as if saving $100K in salary is going to turn this company around), and hopping aboard the NCANS "blame someone else for your problems" bandwagon.
