Hitler killed millions of innocent people through systematic execution, and forced millions more in to slave labor, Bush hasn't even taken the most minuscule step in that direction.

The numbers are not important. It is not significant if Hitler killed millions and Bush did not. What is significant is that Bush wants to deny the Gitmo prisoners the due course of law, which is our way of life. It is significant that Bush has tortured the prisoners in foreign soil when he new that doing so on US soil would not stand the test of US law. What is significant is that these tactics are Hitlerian, which is a dictatorial way of doing things.

Taking that discussion further, Bush first said that he had certain Presidential powers to order certain Govt agencies to act in a manner which would deny the US citizens their rights to liberty and freedom. He said that he did not need the OK from institutions like the congress, the judiciary (FISA) etc. Later on, he had to relent because of the vigilance of US groups, institution and agencies.

His tactics are Hitlerian. It is not a silly statement. I expected you to comment as such because history tells us that truths are characterized as such by people like Goebbels, Lenin etc.
