You've made a good point, further distinguishing the "paid basher" myth vs. the paid pumper reality: "You know any paid "bashers" that have the time to go around and start a thread every time the tout does?" re: threads where moderators are helpful. "50% Gains" thread is a start. That's because Dale's a good moderator for that type of subject. The moderator concept is only as good as the moderator ... which, I'll agree with you in advance, there are very few. You know, as a "fix" towards the moderation problem as you see it, how does this strike you: leave thread moderation intact for all other threads, disable moderation for penny threads only, since they are most prone to manipulation with financial impact and moderators of said boards are all too often of ... dubious character...? Just an opening idea ... I'm sure it needs some refinement.
