Which history text is that piece of fact from? Are you learned? I thought we settled that very crucial point already? Unless of course N.America will be vacated. So, now you are willing to consider the Iraq adventure on a scale with Germany in Poland, with some twists and turns?<<The abuses at Abu G took place in the most secure area of that prison>> ... that would generally be the case, given that state sanctioned but suitably deniable crimes are going on.<<we captured someone in the company of a known terrorist leader/member>> ... but what if the guy is not a terrorist, but merely a resistance fighter in act of defiance against foreign invaders of his land, and helping to close the circle against the murderers of his grandchildren?<<The majority of Iraqis being killed, maimed, or beaten, is not due to Coalition operations>> ... I would hope not, for after all the grand talk of a coalition, it is just comprised of a small group mostly from one country. OTOH, you may be correct, the only genuine authority in town is never responsible for what is and is not happening.<<your Chinese Communist apparachiks>> ... sorry, i am on money rock Hong Kong, answerable to no one, judged to be at freest point in this galaxy, by your heritage foundation, for good reasons. Should you think otherwise foolishly, it would merely show what you do not understand; so, this point can be debated, but only against my advice. Back to Iraq, since it is topical, perhaps it is not a simple invasion, but only because the invaders screwed up, big time, and so now it is complicated. Invasions tends to do that. OTOH, perhaps the Soviets adventure in Afghanistan was also not a simple invasion, given that everything you pointed out about post-invasion Iraq has an analog spin in then Afghanistan. I thinking the Soviets did their fair share of raping and killing of women and children as horridly. I find it encouraging that you still think of Iraq as an opportunity. Chugs, J
