I dare not speak the unspeakable, but here is a definition:

" The action or an act of managing or directing a person, etc., esp. in a skilful manner; the exercise of subtle, underhand, or devious influence or control over a person, organization, etc.; interference, tampering. " from OED.

Where it says "etc." one may substitute "stock price".

from digitimes and china, which means this is just heresay.

Analysts forecast that shipments of iPod shuffles will reach six million units in the fourth quarter, while those of iPod nanos to reach four million units and new video iPod to reach 1.5 million, the paper said

which means expectations are for 11.5 million ipods in q4. Not spectacular like last Q4, but not bad either. And with the mac sales, should be a blowout.
