so many foreigners; russian, chinese, syrian, Israeli etc. had flooded the country with small arms. That reminds me of South Africa, which flooded Mozambique with arms for the rightwing rebels in the 1980's, only to have those AK-47's trickle back into South Africa in subsequent years. They cost $30 at the SA-Swaziland border and about $150 in Johannesburg, where they became the favorite weapon for bank robbery gangs. Blowback in action.
