People who think that don't really understand how the statistics are calculated or how meaningless they are in terms of extropolating back to the individual ... or they have a political agenda (more likely).

On a related note, the US Fed could easily justify a rate cut before year end, and you can see that thinking currently in the bond market. I'm starting to come around to the idea that the rise in gold is over for now -- sideways at best is in its future -- and that might take a good bit of steam out of the junior market well before next Spring.
