And, this is what I said, Haqi (all of which went unanswered/ignored):

Why not ask some former P.O.W.s if the Geneva Protocols afforded them any protections?

Or ask them if the THREAT of war crimes prosecutions for their captors (for violations of the Geneva accords) ever gave Dictators and jailors pause....

(If not... or if you want to change the treaty, then the procedures for amending or revoking treaties are well established. Dump it if you want to, and come up with a superior one.)
