Oddly enough, as is my lot, as was many a times when I vacationed in the Philippines, I have a planned trip to Thailand coming right up, and we are doing what we can to check on the situation to see if we can carry on as usual. I feel pretty confident at current juncture that it will be all-systems go, but let us not judge the situation before it is time.

I had been in the Philippines during attempted coups three or four times over the past 20+ years, and I find them to be quite festive occasions, with folks relaxed, partying, and generally having a good time, and none of it boring.

Should we proceed at the start of next month, I will post some pictures of the 'coup' :0)

I checked on the Baht exchange rate, and by that measure, I cannot conclude that the coup is disruptive.
