So the cynic in me figures that this Russian Central Banker was likely in the pocket of the Creditors cartel that Volcker represents.

Given the level of corruption in Corporate America and Political America, and the fact that the Fed itself was established on fraudulent premises, I find Volcker's statements a little bit hard to swallow at face value.

I'd love to take Volcker at his word, and perhaps Kozlov was truly an honest, decent human being. But in the upper echelons of global finance, it seems to me things are rarely what they seem on the surface.
