The Nicene Creed is very familiar because we say it every time we go to Mass, and the Apostle's Creed when we pray the rosary (not everybody prays the rosary, I think). The Athanasian Creed used to be recited during exorcisms but I think in Latin.

Lutherans still recite the Athanasian Creed once a year on Trinity Sunday, and that's how I came across it, discussing the way Lutherans think of the Trinity with my husband, although of course it's very important in church history, and still part of Catholic dogma.
