<Did you see the reception to his recent UN speech from diplomats throughout the "civilized" world.>

No -- for those of us who missed it can you provide a clear sense of the response?

If you want to lead the world forward into peace and a more civilized state of existence then you MUST follow the rule of law. In addition, the laws must be "civilized" as opposed to barbaric. You must be more fair than your enemies, more enlightened and, as a nation, you must adhere to the golden rule.

Okay, There is a young man in Guantanamo. He threw a grenade at a medic and killed him and blinded two more. Under the Geneva Conventions he was not wearing a uniform and he killed a medic so he is guilty of war crimes, and should have been executed ON THE SPOT. The US took him in, and treated his injuries and the blinded soldiers are suing his family. They live in Canada, and his late father was one of Osama's financiers. As i understand the rules of war, and I hope you will correct me cause I only read them quickly, if a foreign national is caught fighting out of uniform in a war he is a spy and can be shot. So many of the people in Guantanamo are on borrowed time, cause the US could have executed them on the battlefield. So since you believe so much in the Geneva Conventions start shooting anyone fighting who was not an Afghani, instead of housing them in Guantanamo.

Ichy does not wish to live in peace. He has given up on the world and on the human species and will likely spend the rest of his days in anger, frustration, fear and loathing.

Kind of like Dick Cheney but without the reputed $90 million fortune, much of which he gained during his time as Veep.

When the ultrarich and ultrapowerful take away resources from the majority and sets people against each other for social issues like religion and sexuality, the people go after each other while the ultrarich and ultrapowerful giggle at them.

This is the entire point of the war, of the Republican Revolution, of Reagan, of Rove, of Bush and Cheney, of the Saudis, of the bin Ladens, etc. These people are very greedy and the majority are very stupid to be playing this fixed game....with vigor.

While Cheney triples his fortune while in office, he just giggles and giggles and giggles at the stupidity of Americans to let him have it all at their expense.

It's an immoral game but it's immoral on both sides. Ignorance and stupidity are moral issues just as much as greed and fraud.
