Oprah is good entertainment on TV---have a little problem thinking of her making the transition to radio-----a large part of her appeal is the visual on her show.

Oprah of course has been sucessful, however, not one I go out of my way to watch----however a lot of women particularly watch her.

Stern is example of no need to be seen. Music channels fit the same as do football and sports. Metropolitan Opera shows a good move for Siri.

Who and what else is left to bring to Satellite?

>>> Was Oprah and the live 1/2 hour a week a good deal for XMSR?

It isn't a "1/2 hour a week". It is a 24/7 channel that costs less than $20M/year branded with the single biggest name in entertainment OTHER than what Stern was.

It is hilarous to me that so many Siriots are so balled up about "how many subs" will x bring versus y. Which makes sense when you're dealing with the kind of limited content offerings Sirius has. But for Xm, the goal clearly is to offer a well-rounded, extensive, and diverse list of content items. And Oprah Winfrey hawking the product, at the price, is an absolute bargain. But it isn't going to make or break XM the way Stern has broken Sirius (I'm sure I don't need to remind you they will lose 1.2-1.3 Billion in '06).

You may not believe this, but not everyone is part of the Up-Sterns-Ass cult you are in.

>>> Is shared content Dopie and Anthony a good deal for XMSR?

Sure. Obviously. They now have a much bigger audience than Stern and are bringing subscribers to XM, yet XM is being paid by terrestrial more than XM is paying O&A. So, hell yes -- at the end of Stern's contract, Sirius will still be losing money on him unless he returns to terrestrial.

>>> MLB is virtually a total loss for XM.

Okay, you have stated your opinion. Do you have any facts to back it up?
