Also helping to boost the satellite radio company's shares higher was an announcement from Sirius Satellite Radio, flat out denying speculation and rumors that Howard Stern would leave the company. XM Satellite shares are higher by $.39 to $13.70, approaching resistance of $14.00 that could be broken if the stock catches some late afternoon volume and momentum surge.

So far, however, volume has remained relatively light, indicating some skepticism on the part of investing believing that XM Satellite’s troubles are over.
