The Fed makes it's decision, there is a coup in Thailand, oil and gas prices are up and down like a yo yo yet all remains calm in your world.....but if there is a question of broadband access, it all comes tumbling down in a heap of fear and paranoia? We have found your soft spot?

Frank, the title you asked about reminded me of another I've been meaning to read and haven't, yet: Yochai Benkler's "The Wealth of Networks" - pun on A. Smith, gets the point across. I've heard him speak and I've read some of his articles; very insightful. It's all online as well as in hardcover, and there's a Wiki set up to elaborate on it, all to underscore one of the points of the book.
