Wow......bad luck. Sorry!

I can certainly understand your feelings.

There are some incredible ski mts out there that are relatively un-discovered, quiet, un-crowded and easy to reach. You just have to do some research and have the time and money to go. They aren't much cheaper than the high priced Colo resorts, but the lack of crowds and great snow make them the obvious choice.

Did you see the piece on the cost of pharmaceuticals at Costco vs other sources that is traveling around the Internet yet?

Yikes!

no motorcycles for me...
no snowmobiles either...
if it has a motor, i don't want it between my legs.. heh

i hope your lung stays as inflated as your medical bills

i'm wondering tho, if you weren't riding alone, why did it take search and rescue so long to find you?

two years ago when i was at solitude in utah my buddy broke his arm in the terrain park. he got an x-ray on site and the ski patrol said it was the worst break they'd ever seen

they sent us right away to salt lake city to have it surgically repaired. pete was in a lot of pain, so they gave him some morphine before we left

we weren't even halfway down little cottonwood canyon by the time he could hardly hold his head up. i've never seen anybody on morphine before. boy was he messed up!

later that night he got violently ill and threw up all over the place...
