We have to decide whether to operate with a team spirit of "us and them" based purely on geo-political loyalties and alliances; or to function on the basis of Principle guided cause.

We have no right or authority to exist as the USA except as granted by our constitution. When we forget that, we will disintegrate in short order.

Torture as a strategy to 'win' absolutely violates the founding principles of human rights, freedom, and justice for all. The means is never justified by the ends.

"Civil rights for jihadis" aren't for them, they're for us

Well right now they think it's OK to saw prisoner's heads off on TV. I'm not saying we should do what they do, but we need to know what interrogation techniques are allowable.

Clinton's FBI used sleep deprivation as a technique by playing loud horrible sounds and shining spotlights through windows for hours on end. And these were American citizens. Can we go that far on jihadis?
