It's great to see some religious leadership in the world again. The Church has been conciliatory to Islam since the Second Vatican Council. Pope John Paul II even had Imams on the altar with him at a Mass he prayed in Assisi in 1986. Obviously these overtures have availed nothing. It'll be very interesting to see what Benedict has in mind. I think it's time to join my wife's Catholic religion Go for it! The church of Charlemagne, Joan of Arc, Richard the Lionheart, etc could use a few good men right now. <g>
