Al,

Becoming convinced 85 - 86 million bbls/day is it. We are at peak production. A slowing economy will make little difference. Demand growth slows but never goes negative.

I challenge anyone to find supply growth, epecially enough supply growth to offset the North Sea, Mexico and Russia. OPEC contines to drop - another 400k this month.

Nigeria and Iraq are the only places for significant supply next year.

The folks in the UK get it as they are now a customer and no longer a supplier. What happens with Mexico in 07 - 08 as internal demand offset exports?

Do you beleive the fundamentals or are you smart enough to trade it? Hate to see the selling but have made my stand and holding.

CC

What the oil bulls are missing is how many SPECULATORS are allowed to play the game. No one has to take delivery, it's all just paper. All these posts about oil 'fundamentals' are really completely irrelevant. They worked with CL going up but it's all about market mechanics on the way down.

Has it not occurred to you that Investment bankers and Environmentalists MIGHT have an agenda regarding peak oil? Just maybe they are using FEAR as a way to goose CL up? Could it be we are sitting on enough oil right now to last us 120 years and the environmentalists know this... Think about it, why would environmentalists care about peak oil so much? Shouldn't they be DELIGHTED that it is going to run out and we will HAVE TO switch to a different type of renewable energy? I don't think I even have to tell you that investment bankers have an agenda especially that Matt SImmons creep, yeah I'm sure he doesn't benefit at all if CL goes 200 dollars a barrel <insert sarcastic emoticon here>

EDIT: I do believe we have reached peak EASY oil, but there is still plenty of it left in the ground.
