I don't have the time to invest in either in-depth thread babysitting or foreign policy reading to your extent, not beyond the daily papers and reposted thought pieces. I regret not participating in the old FADG - efforts to find a noncombative atmosphere here have required narrowing the participants beyond the ideal range. But we either do that or we listen to the "Lefty traitor! Lefty traitor!" chant on a regular basis, which I consider worse by a long shot on the maturity and interest scale. I originally thought this thread would have 40-50 bookmarks and an equal number of bans, with only a fraction of the posting volume since inception. So if we take the Bush view and just gloss over the macro numbers, they look pretty good. The tally also compares to other active political threads. Just about in the center, in fact, LOL.
