ChinuSFO -

I've seen the full interview and the transcript. Clinton does a brilliant job of trashing the conservative myth that his administration didn't do enough to combat terrorism.

But there are always going to be people, probably right here on this thread, who feel more comfortable blaming 9/11 on a guy who tried repeatedly in various ways to kill bin Laden (without the support of the Repulican Congress) before Bush took office, than they will blaming it on the guy who demoted Richard Clarke because he was too obsessed with Al Qaeda, which the Inner Bush Circle didn't see as much of a threat.

He also points out that right now, there are seven times more troops in Iraq than there are in Afghanistan, as if Saddam Hussein was a seven times larger threat to the U.S. than the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

I would vote for that man again if I could.

Of course, Fox News has the video available on their site. Their headline for the story is "Clinton Gets Defensive." They just want to play up what they saw as agitation. I saw it as just insisting that he be allowed to get his points across.

Then Clinton asked why Fox doesn't ask the Bush administration why they didn't do more to capture Bin Laden in the first nine months of 2001, and why they demoted Richard Clarke. Matthews mumbles something like, "We ask a lot of questions." Ha! They have never once asked any Bush Administration official of any level why there were ZERO meetings about Al Qaeda from the time they took office until 9/11, even in the face of security briefings with unambiguous headlines like "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S."

Yes I noted his comment that the current admin only thought Afghanistan to be 1/7 the problem... and basically dismissed it...

Again that sounds like my view... I'd love to see Clinton on the Colbert Report..

BTW Domi can't keep it in his pants... he even did some relic hunting with Tia Carrere ;o) Now it seems like Belinda can't keep anything out of her pants...
